KRISTY REVELL

My research focuses on sustainable living and pro-environmental behaviour change and specifically aims to understand how local government encourages pro-environmental behaviour amongst the borough population. More so, this work aims to establish what impact such work has on the overall environmental impact of the borough , in terms of carbon abated. To better understand this, evaluation is being undertaken on a range of live sustainability projects. This is being done in partnership with a number of inner London local authorities.
Projects evaluated include a pan-London home energy visit scheme, a project that aims to increase cycling rates through the provision of infrastructure and a project that encourages residents to recycle through incentives.

Both quantitative and qualitative

"I make use of both qualitative and quantitative methods. For example, I have been using participant surveys to monitor changes in people's environmental behaviours as a result of a local authority pro-environmental behavior change intervention. I analyse this data using statistical methods."
