Location

The Chadwick Building as viewed from the Main Quadrangle

The main entrance to UCL is on Gower Street. Enter the quadrangle with the dome and pillars in front of you, turn immediately right and walk up the steps to the Chadwick Building. The Departmental office is Room G03, on the ground floor.

Unless you have made prior arrangements, please do not drive to UCL - there is no parking available at UCL, and all on street parking in the Bloomsbury area is very expensive.

The nearest Underground stations are Euston Square (1 min walk, Metropolitan and Circle lines), Euston (5 mins, British Rail, Northern and Victoria lines) and Warren Street (4 mins, Northern and Victoria lines). For detailed travel information with the City see Transport for London. For information about rail services to London visit National Rail. (Note that the Tube stops around midnight, after which you need to use the night buses.)

If you're arriving from Heathrow Airport: take the Heathrow Express to Paddington (15 minute journey, trains every 15 minutes), then change to the eastbound Circle (yellow on map) or Hammersmith and City (pink) Tube lines to Euston Square. You can also take the Picadilly Line (dark blue) Tube to Russell Square or change to Northern (black) Line at Leicester Square and go to Warren Street or Euston, but this will probably take longer.

For those arriving from Gatwick Airport: take the Gatwick Express to Victoria Station, then change to the Victoria Line (light blue) Tube and go to Warren Street or Euston Station.

For those arriving from Luton Airport: catch a train going from Luton Airport Parkway to Kings Cross Thameslink, then take a short walk to Kings Cross Station, then take the Northern Line (black) to Euston or the Circle (yellow), Hammersmith and City (pink) or Metropolitan (purple) Line trains westbound to Euston Square. Alternatively, if the train stops at Farringdon, then you switch from there to any of the same lines to Euston Square.

If you are arriving from Stanstead Airport: take a train to London Liverpool Street Station, then the Circle (yellow), Hammersmith and City (pink) or Metropolitan (purple) Line trains Westbound to Euston Square.

If arriving by Eurostar: From Waterloo Station take the northbound Northern Line (black) to Warren Street or Euston Station.
